Autopilot mode
Lately, I have for the most part been on autopilot.
This is not necessarily a bad thing — it just means you are doing, at best, the status quo.
We are wired as humans to be on autopilot for simple tasks so we can focus on potential threats. As we evolved we did not need to rely on this autopilot as much. If we go back into this primal mode too much it can actually stunt our growth. Allowing ourselves to be uncomfortable helps us grow.
Bring on autopilot shows up in a few ways in our lives such as going to the same restaurants, following the same routine, or doing a certain schedule. Personally, these are some of the ways I have been on autopilot.
Autopilot mode allows us to be a little lazy because we can mindlessly do these tasks. As a believer in manifesting the life you want being on autopilot can be an anchor to your highest potential. We cannot expect anything to change if we are not changing the energy we are showing up as. You have to be an energetic match to what we desire.
We sometimes see this when we have a string of success. After the first one, we get excited and feel abundant. These feelings then create an energetic wave to the universe that matches it with more of the same. The opposite can be true with negative events — making it all important to watch our thoughts and feelings.
Life will bring us challenges and opportunities for growth and introspection. Sometimes all we can do is be on autopilot to get through the day. Feeling feelings is also important. We are human after all. Give yourself grace and time.
As with anything, the first step is recognizing it in yourself and then making a commitment to change. Taking more control gives you the freedom to deliberately choose the path for yourself.
