Why I moved on from WordPress
I have been running and hosting WordPress on my site for years. Over the past few weeks, I have been looking for a new challenge and project.
In recent years, my website has evolved from a portfolio-based site to a more personal one. I wanted to make that transition to add more personality and character to my work.
Another reason is I have been slowly moving away from putting my work on social networking sites. For the longest time, hosting and managing your website is a way to show off your personality, your thoughts, work, and inspiration with others. Social networks only scratch the surface through various algorithms getting you to keep clicking and scrolling.
As I move away from WordPress, my site will still be the same in many ways. I am in the process of migrating my content, images, and styles over. So it will be a work in progress for a bit.
I am excited to see what this next chapter brings!
