Finished my first JavaScript API project by having the current time and weather on the homepage.

Note

With the amount of information and news coming out daily, it is easy to be overwhelmed. One tip I recently heard is to give everything 36 hours before reacting to anything. Good advice so far.

The results from my Ancestry DNA kit that Alexandra got me for Christmas came in. No surprises. Here is the breakdown:

Finally got the money back for a fence I wanted to have replaced nearly 3 years ago 💰

The moon looks awesome tonight.

Went up to visit Alexandra's family in Plattsburgh. This is a shot up Margaret Street from Norma J's. It brings back memories from when I went to college there.

There is this weird sense of fear and optimism ahead of the election next week. It is hard to explain.

The cats are settling in nicely to their new home while Alexandra is away.

Replied to the article Why blog anonymously by Frills:

I never really thought about blogging or writing anonymously. I do not mind having my name tied to the content I am blogging or writing about. The internet is never as private as you think and I post intentionally.

Frills makes a good point that you may not want your information to be easily tied to you due to privacy and personal safety concerns, name changes, and biases. Totally understand that.

I am used to having my content out there that is connected to my name. I actually landed my first journalism job due to a blog post I made. Most of the content I had to publish for work had to have my name on it. In the end, it's all about personal preference and should not change how people feel about your work.

Pretty wild feeling the earthquake in Albany. The epicenter is close to my family in NJ. No damage just a little shaken up!
