Understandable WCAG 3.2.6

Consistent Help

If help mechanisms (contact info, chat, FAQ link) appear on multiple pages, they must be in the same relative order. New in WCAG 2.2 (Level A). Does not require providing help — only consistency when you do.

In plain terms

If help links — chat, phone, FAQ — appear on several pages, keep them in the same place so people always know where to look.

Why this matters

People with cognitive disabilities rely on finding help in the same spot every time. If the contact link or chat moves around between pages, they may not find it just when they're stuck.

How to detect

Quick check

Check the pages that offer help (contact, chat, FAQ). Does each help option appear in the same relative order across them? It needn't be pixel-identical placement — just a consistent order.
